Salvador Caetano reinforces its presence in the Nordic region through the acquisition of the entire shareholding held by Hedin Mobility Group in Hedin Caetano AB, a company previously jointly owned by both groups, thereby becoming its sole shareholder. As part of the transaction, RN Automotive AB will also acquire the retail operations of Renault and Dacia at three Hedin Automotive dealerships. Closing of the transaction and the transfer of the business are expected to occur on 30 June 2026.
As a result of the agreement now concluded, ownership of Hedin Caetano AB and all its operations in RN Nordic and RN Automotive will be fully consolidated within Salvador Caetano Group. In this context, RN Automotive AB will also acquire the Renault and Dacia retail operations at three Hedin Automotive dealerships: Eskilstuna, Tagene, and Åbro in Gothenburg (adding to the Group’s existing facilities in the Stockholm area, in Spånga and Haninge).
Following completion of the transaction, Hedin Mobility Group will remain a relevant retailer of Renault and Dacia in Sweden through its Hedin Automotive dealer network.
“The partnership with Hedin Mobility Group has enabled the establishment of a solid foundation and, at this stage, we look forward to continuing to develop the Renault, Dacia and Alpine brands, for the benefit of customers and dealers in Sweden, Denmark and Norway,” says Sérgio Ribeiro, Executive Board Member & CEO of Global Automotive Distribution of Salvador Caetano Auto Group.
“After four years of successful collaboration with Salvador Caetano, this represents a natural step forward for the RN Nordic and RN Automotive operations to progress under a single ownership structure, in line with our ongoing efforts to streamline the Group’s operations. Renault and Dacia remain key brands for us, and we look forward to continuing this journey as a retailer,” says Anders Hedin, CEO of Hedin Mobility Group.
